The opening act for Lilli Lewis at Dyson House Listening Room is two guys from Colorado calling themselves the Ugly Architect. One of their songs mentioned someone wishing he knew his grandfather better. It brought to mind that I knew both of my grandfathers pretty well as clear memories of both men came up. I thought about the time Kate Pearson and I took Grandpapa out to the Georgia Hotel for cocktails while he was visiting Athens close to the end of his life, just before I left for graduate school.
