After hundreds of games starting with STARE, I decided to risk missing an Ace by trying a different starter. I went with one of the Bot's 99 Skill favorites which to my relief eliminated STARE. Things progressed well with ORGAN and I decided to take another chance with ACORN, believing it would be a great early Autumn choice by editor TB, even though it wasn't the most efficient eliminator. Now I was looking at BARON and RAYON (but not the Bot's beloved RADON) and... well, you can see how it worked out. But life and my streak go on.

@Beth White requested a song by R&B immortals Sam and Dave to recognize Sam and her friend Dave who survived being hit by a car while riding his bicycle. As it happens, I take requests. (I also have experienced being hit while bicycling and that wasn't even my worst bike wreck, but that's another story.) My first dance with my youngest at her wedding reception was to this song.
